Greg McLean first Hollywood feature is creeping out of the darkness

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the cinema McLean surfaces with new feature, this time without Mick or a giant croc!

So we have all been avidly following Greg McLean's latest project The Darkness right? To keep the anticipation happening the first trailer has dropped, see below. The movie features horror veterans Kevin Bacon (Friday the 13th, Stir of Echos, The Following) and Aussie Radha Mitchell (Rogue, Pitch Black, Silent Hill), and is set for release somewhere mid year in the U.S; no news on Downunder viewing options.

Okay Blumhouse Productions are involved, expect PG13, but from the looks of things McLean has gone old school with Indian relics, ghostly happenings, and other mayhem to keep us entertained, I'm already sweating on catching a viewing sooner rather than later.

Official synopsis kids:

"As a family returns home from vacation at the Grand Canyon, they innocently bring home a supernatural force that preys off their own fears and vulnerabilities, threatening to destroy them from within, while consuming their lives with terrifying consequences."

Anyone else have a rye smile with Kevin Bacon appearing in a trailer that slams "Friday the 13th" at us :)
