Monster Pictures announce the release of "The Jungle" on DVD
Andrew Traucki's third movie to get a mid April release on DVD in Australia.
Seems new Aussie horror is being released at a frenetic rate in Australia currently with Monster Pictures unleashing The Jungle to join other recent releases Patrick (2013) and MurderDrome on store shelves. Monster have announced a 16th April date with confirmation JB HiFi will be carrying the title. No doubt we can expect an avalanche of special features and cool stuff on the silver disk.
For those who may have just spent the past decade in Mongolia, Andrew Traucki's previously movies Black Water and The Reef were critically acclaimed and established the Director at the top of Australian horror movie making along side Greg MacLean. The new movie has been receiving rave reviews from the Indie film festival circuit and delivers on the promise Traucki made to knock our socks off with a Trilogy of Natural Terror flicks.
Monster Pictures did a better plot outline than we could so read on:
"Big cat expert Larry Black (Rupert Reid - BLUE HEELERS) and his brother Ben head out on an expedition into the Indonesian wilds, trying to find and document the rare and endangered Javan Leopard. The deeper into the jungle they get, the more nervous their Indonesian guides become, as local rumours spin horrific tales of black magic and of a mysterious blood-crazed creature that will kill any invader into it's territory.
Naturally ScaryMinds will get a review happening of the movie sooner rather than later, for now check out the trailer.
