The Walking Dead spinoffs, season finales, what the hell are AMC doing y'all

Yes we're major walking dead fans here in the Sminds bunker, hell an episode guide and a book review coming up, but say what AMC!?!

First the good news, reports hitting the web this morning have the season five finale running to a cool 90 minutes. That's movie length Walking Dead, toss me a crowbar I'm on board that development. Set to hit screens on 29th March there are no details yet, though I suspect we'll get introduced to one Mr Negan and his baseball bat! Okay comic fans were livid over a major character's death in the books, fingers crossed AMC don't repeat that blunder, we love the character.

Okay bad news bears, the spin off series Fear the Walking Dead codenamed Cobalt for no apparent reason, hasn't been picked up by AMC who financed the development of the pilot episode. Say what! Have AMC gone stark raving mad? No idea on why the hold up and the Producers aren't telling stories out of school.

Oh almost forget the cool news, which is slightly yesterday's paper now, but Kiwi Actor Cliff Curtis has been cast in the lead role. Excited or what! We'll keep you abreast of any developing news that comes across the desk.
