Following the uneven first trilogy from R.L.Stine's Fear Street we are getting a fourth stand alone movie dropping on streaming service Netflix in May. Titled Fear Street: Prom Queen the movie is based off Stine's novel The Prom Queen, fingers crossed we get a decent adaptation after the first three movies couldn't quite work out what they wanted to be.

"Welcome back to Shadyside. In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway and the school's wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of '88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night."

There's been something of a production hell involved with Prom Queen which was initially announced back in 2022. Chloe Okuno was picked to direct the movie back in the day but somewhere in the last two years decided to leave the Street for other properties. Matthew Palmer is currently helming the movie, and should be attached right through release day. Please see the trailer below:
