Nosferatu the second coming, okay week 2 at the box office

So weekend two happened and we were all glued to the results wondering if the excellent results from weekend one were all front end load or rocking us to a very solid box office result. Landing today and keeping the excitement happening was the weekend result of $1.3 million on a -44% hold. The movie dropped to seventh position on the chart, but to be honest (I keep saying that, must find something else) the dark genre doesn't tend to have huge holding power. Total gross now stands at $5.4 million. There are some big horror titles coming, but that should be enough to hold a top ten box horror position for 2025. You might be wondering how this compares to North American results, lets check that out. Nosferatu was released a week earlier in the market, and is still ripping up the charts. Last weekend the vampire flick made $6.9 million (USD) on a -47% hold, remember that is over weekend three, with total gross now standing at $82 million (USD). The movie is holding down fourth spot and looks good to go through $100 million. Great result in North America, and definitely in comparative terms bigger than Australia is currently able to lay claim to.

Nosferatu currently stands at $135.8 million (USD) internationally, with the vast majority of that having been earnt in the North American market. Unfortunately this figure isn't a great result with just over 60% of the income still coming from North America. With some markets yet to open the movie we hope that results will see a surge in the International results to really push the overall result to a very solid final result.

With Wolf Man dropping next weekend in Australia, Nosferatu has some serious competition, let's check out how things stand next weekend, I'm expecting another decent result. I'm still having trouble seeing the movie breaching $10 million, breakout hit status, but the final result still looks to be as solid as anticipated.
