Behind the scenes video drops for Alien: Earth

Jethro  2025-07-25

With under a month till the first couple of episodes of Alien: Earth drop on D+ the marketing is ramping up as the streaming service appear to be putting a heck of a lot of stock in the show being successful. We recently learnt the show is eight episodes long, given the scope of what we're seeing in promo's that is expected, with two episodes dropping on release day and then the other six being released in consecutive weeks. Clearly the House of Mouse are expecting a huge result here as opposed to shows like Ironheart that were all about dump and forget.

Strangely FX are releasing content that is usually reserved for Disc extras to keep excitement high and to add some context to what we have seen in the teasers and trailers. For example, the USCSS Maginot, a deep space Weyland-Yutani research vessel, crash lands on Earth after colliding with another  vessel, previous theories had been the ship was sabotaged. Minor point I know but still rocking in my low brow opinion.

I'm already seeing a few problems however, Wendy is a twelve year old girl, seriously no adults available either Synthetic or otherwise? But hey Wendy has a brother who went in with a team ill equipped to deal with what is on the Maginot immediately after the crash. Nice touch there, and I can kind of see an exploration of what it means to be human going down over season one. Fingers are crossed we get season two, as this one is looking like the show Alien fans have been waiting their entire lives for.

The last scene of the Xenomorph in a cave, is this the end of the season and starts the main narrative of season 2?
